London in October

Hey everyone! I finally got time to write about my first Europe layover :) When the October roster came out, my roommate and I were so excited that we`ll be flying partners for the whole October :) We were blessed to have two Europe flights for this month :)

Last week, I had a 29hr layover in London! I don`t know what to feel because it still feels so surreal even after I had the chance to stand almost beside the Big Ben, see the London Eye and step on the Tower Bridge hehe

Anyway, so, it was a very short layover, when we arrived at the hotel, luckily they still serve breakfast, so we had breakfast before we went to our rooms and change, rest for a bit and then went out. Lucky for me, my flying partner has been to London last month so she knows which way we`ll go.

Our company is so thoughtful that they chose a hotel just nearby the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and also the underground train and bus stops :) We bought this unlimited one day pass for £8.90 which you can use on either the train or bus until AM04:00. I took a photo of this bus which the final destination is Notting Hill Gate hehe, I love watching movies and Notting Hill is one of my favorite Julia Roberts film :)

We went to take photos of and with the London Eye, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, the Westminster Station and took selfies, of course! :)

We took the bus to Oxford St. to go to Primark, which is one of the biggest thing in London which offers cheap thrills, a shopaholics favorite :) I`m proud to say I went out without even one bag hahaha there`s too many options, I don`t know which one to buy, so I got none haha. Maybe next time :) So on our way to Primark, there were lots of souvenir stores and clothing shops. I bought fridge magnets and keychains which is only £1.00 each, and then cute little snow globes for I don`t remember how much. I don`t know why I only bought a few, but the next time I`m there, I swear I`ll buy a whole lot more!

We also saw and stopped at this Disney store!!! So cute!! They have toys and clothes/costumes for kids!

After a whole lot of walking and window shopping, we went to ride the bus again back to Piccadilly Circus where there are cinemas, theaters, the Les Miserables, the Ripley`s museum, and Chinatown! We ate at this Chinese buffet for only £7.25!

After another set of walking and sight seeing, we decided to go back to the hotel to rest for a while and then go see the Tower Bridge after :) we took the train going back to the hotel, it was so fun walking and using public transpo in London because of the weather and although there are a lot of people in the train, it`s still not crowded :)

And then the last thing we visited was the Tower Bridge in London Bridge. It`s also beside the London City Hall which I took a photo of but since the quality is very poor, I prefer not to post it lol. I bet it looks better during the day :) But the Tower Bridge is really beautiful.

After this, we took the bus to the London Bridge station then back to the Westminster station where our hotel is. Got a good sleep then prepared for our flight back to base the next day :)

That`s it for now! I might have something to post again next week! Hehe

Lara
