Applicants can personally apply starting September 22, 2014

ReplyDeleteHi! I don't really know why they upgraded the height requirement, I remember it was originally 163cm then they brought it down to 160cm and now this. I don't know how big your chance is, but you can try :) We'll never know, since sometimes they conduct reach test :) Goodluck! :)
DeleteI called IPAMS, they said they'll consider the height if you can pass the arm reach test. Hope they'll stay true to that though, coz I'm coming from a really far place. hehe. Godbless to everyone applying :)

DeleteI applied in IPAMS before but for Emirates. They did the reach test but not for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI have a visible birthmark which is on my lower leg. Im not sure if that's the reason I didn't get in. The recruiter asked me if I have a birthmark and if if I tried to conceal it, I was honest about it. Is it a bad idea if I don't disclose that since I can conceal it anyway and Im wearing stockings?
Im also wearing dentures but you can't hardly tell. I really want to pursue a career in this field and I'd like to try again.

Hi!! :) I hope this time they'll do a reach test for everyone :) With Saudia, birthmarks and/or tattoos aren't such a big thing especially if hidden. Even on the legs. I, personally, have burns on my thighs, but since it won't show while wearing Saudia's uniform, they didn't mind :)

What is the difference in applying on Oct 4 (the 'Open Day') as compared to just going there anytime between Sept 22 to Oct 3?
ReplyDeleteThere will be less applicants on a regular day and of course you can just walk in at your most comfortable time.
ReplyDeletewent through a diff process earlier. theres about 80 of us in a room and we were asked to pick a question. it was our public speaking skills that was being tested. after that we were sent home and advised to wait to be notified if we passed that round. no reach test. Saudia is pretty much strict with the height bec the recruiter said min.is 165cm but they will try to work it out with Saudia. what do you think are the chances of us being called?

DeleteActually I see girls below 160cm. I don't know if they're reeeally strict now and will be sticking with the 165cm min. But I hope they'll consider the height if you can reach naman the minimum reach which is 212cm, I think. Anyway, goodluck :)
DeleteHi, I just want to ask if I am qualified as a cabin crew if I don't have any customer service experience and I don't have any experience related to hospitality industry? I also had a small scar on my hand which I got when I was a child, I also have braces. :( i also have few pimples.. :( So I wonder if that would be a huge factor for me not to be accepted? I'm a nursing graduate with no experience at all but I have my training from diff hospitals would that suffice?But I really wanted to be a cabin crew for a long time. please help.. thanks!

I think anybody who wants to be cabin crew and works for it will definitely be a cabin crew :) As for the experience, it`s actually a plus but if you don`t have experience it`s still fine to apply. As for your small scar, since it`s small I hope they`ll let it slide. For the braces, they will ask you to remove it for the final interview should you be shortlisted :) As for the pimples, a lot of girls has it don`t worry, there`s makeup anyway :) I know a lot of nurses turned flight attendants and they`re really good at it :) There`s no harm in trying, so just try to apply, it can be a good experience :) God bless and goodluck! :)
Deletehi lara! im a little bit worried coz my original height is163cm,but when i went to ipams during their open day for saudia my height is 160cm. the recruiter told us we just need to wait to be notified if we passed and check with saudia regarding the height since the minimum height requirement is 165cm. i checked ipams webpage and they changed it to 163cm. does this means applicants with the height of 160cm were already rejected?
ReplyDeleteHello, Adrienne! I saw nga also that they changed the height req back to 163cm. I`m not entirely sure if girls below 160cm did not make the cut. Honestly, there are girls shorter than 160cm here.

ReplyDeleteHello! :) Personally, I`m not used to speaking in front of other people as well, even though I`m a Communications graduate, I still get shy and all. But I think if you prepare well, and think to yourself that you can do it, you really can do it. You can practice with your friends or sister or even in front of the mirror. The key is positive thinking and prayers :) You know we can do anything through Christ :) God bless and good luck in applying :)

ReplyDeleteHi everyone, the congratulations email will be sent the night after the FI. But I suggest you call IPAMS to confirm but in my experience, we received the results right away. I was interviewed Oct 17th.

ReplyDeleteHi! Sorry for the late response. I personally have very bad eyes and mataas grado ko, but before it doesnt matter as long as you're not color blind. We can wear clear contacts and glasses to work anyway. But I heard mejo naging strict sila sa eyes lately? Sorry, no idea but goodluck :)

ReplyDeletejust wondering with their required age from 22 and above??? what is the limit of the above? a friend of mine applied and we got feedbacks from saudia staff that she passed everything but because she is already 30 yrs old the panel declined her application. it is such a misleading advertisement they are posting. they should give chance to all. not only to those they think they like and knowing the latest generation, patience is in their last list priority.

DeleteHey lara I wanna ask u a question. I came to saudia recruitment in my country. I pass the pre screening which are measurement test and 1st itv. (handled by agency) . They told me that my arm reach was so minimun qualification. I only touch with my middle finger, but they let me in and told me to prepare myself if saudia reject me on final interview bcouse of my minimum arm reach. So, does saudia team really strict about arm reach test? Have u found a condition like mine that through all stages? Thank you lara ^^

ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie! Yes, its 100% sure you`ll fly to Jeddah for the initial training once you get your visa, they will schedule you for flight to Jeddah :)

But I had a problem earlier with my weight, the recruiter recommended that I must lose atleast 5kg. Should I go for his advice or just wait "first" the email/text? if I passed the initial screening?

Hi Jennifer! I heard mejo nagstrict sila when it comes to eyes. Other girls got lasik pa. No dental sa medical cos hindi covered ng insurance namin. As for the interview, I dont know the new process but I posted something about my interview and personal experience :) Goodluck!

ReplyDeleteHi :) I went thru ipams' office during the last day of preliminary interview. I got no prob with my bmi, com skills and all but ..5 days prior to my application, i accidentally touched the flat iron. I got a 2-3 inch minor burn on my hand. when they asked me to take off my blazer, interviewer saw it. am just wondering if they would still consider me since the only thing she said was " ay ano yan napaso"? and proceeded checking my teeth and stuff. then after that she informed us to wait for an email by the end of the month .. pls respond .. :)
