Homemade Juice Detox

I have been trying different kinds of cleanses or fasting for almost a year now. I tried the Lemonade Diet also known as the Master Cleanse, as well as water fasting. I never last longer than 3 days hahaha. Now I will be trying this juice cleanse for weight loss. I got the recipes and Calorie/Protein value from juicerecipes.com, but I narrowed it down to some favorites.

There are lots of health benefits when it comes to juicing, it is good for the heart, digestion, colon, can lower cholesterol, weight loss, etc. I`m doing this mainly for weight loss since I have to maintain and lose a tiny bit more :) 




Today is the first day of my juice cleanse, I made two flavors for choices called "Apple Crisp" and "Can`t Beet It", plus I kind of had a hard time juicing so I didn`t bother making more lol. I used Mom`s juicer, an Emjoi juicer, it`s been with us for over two years now, I guess.Throughout my juice cleanse I might pick a new favorite, but right now it`s "Heart Beet" which my Mom makes for my Dad almost everyday. I am planning to go on a 2-Day Juice Detox because I have been eating lots of junk lately. Mom and I went to do grocery for different fruits and greens and other vegetables and we also bought small jars that can actually fit 12oz+++ but I chose to just put 8oz per jar and store it.


Here`s the list of the juices I chose:


APPLE CRISP (32 OZ) (356 Cal) (Protein 4g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 5 medium (3” dia) 910g
* Celery – 2 stalk, large (11”-12” long) 128g
* Oranges (peeled) – 2 fruit (2-5/8” dia) 262g
Directions:
Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir and serve.

GREEN AID (32 OZ) (279 Cal) (Protein 7.2g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 4 medium (3” dia) 728 g
* Celery – 3 stalk, large (11”-12” long) 192g
* Kale – 2 leaf (8-12”) 70g
* Lemon (peeled) – 1 fruit (2-1/8” dia) 58g
* Spinach – 4 cup 120g

PURPLE PASSION (32 OZ) (254 Cal) (Protein 3.07g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 4 medium (3” dia) 728g
* Cabbage (red) – ¼ head, small (4” dia) 141.75g
* Lime – 1 fruit (2” dia) 67g

MEAN GREEN (30 OZ) (247 Cal) (Protein 10.19g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 2 medium (3”dia) 364g
* Celery – 4 stalk, large 256g
* Cucumber – 1 cucumber (8-1/4”) 301g
* Ginger – 1 thumb (1” dia) 24g
* Kale – 6 leaf (8-12”) 210g
* Lemon – ½ fruit (2-3/8” dia) 42g


HOLIDAY LEMONADE (16 OZ) (234 Cal) (Protein 2.74g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 3 medium
* Cranberry – ½ cup, whole 50g
* Ginger – ¼ thumb
* Lemon – ½ fruit
* Orange – 1 large

BEGINNER GREEN (32 OZ) (253 Cal) (Protein 6.24g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 3 medium
* Celery – 4 large stalks
* Ginger – ¼ thumb
* Lemon (with rind) – ½ fruit
* Orange (peeled) – 1 large
* Spinach – 5 handful

CAN’T BEET IT (32 OZ) (237 Cal) (Protein 5.99g)
Ingredients:
* Apples – 2 medium
* Beet Root – 1 beet
* Carrots – 4 medium
* Celery – 3 stalk, large
* Cucumber – ½
* Ginger – ½ thumb

HEART BEET (32 OZ) (330 Cal) (Protein 9.11g)
Ingredients:
* Apple – 1 medium
* Beet Root – 1 beet
* Carrots – 12 medium
* Lemon – ½ fruit
* Oranges (peeled) – 2 fruit

I think there are lots of advantage in homemade juicing and not buying it from those fancy juice sellers especially when you`ve got time on your hands, it can be a lot cheaper than buying it. But if you don`t have time to make your own juice, make sure that the juice you`re buying is pure, without water.
